Managing Active vs Saved Widgets

MYZO uses a two-section system for organizing widgets. This guide explains how to manage your active and saved widgets effectively.

Understanding the Widget System

MYZO separates widgets into two categories:

CategoryDescriptionLimit
Active WidgetsDisplayed on your public profileMaximum 4
Saved WidgetsStored but not displayedUnlimited

This system helps you keep your profile clean while saving content for future use.

Active Widgets

Active widgets appear on your public profile. Key points:

  • Maximum of 4 active widgets at any time
  • Displayed in the green Active Widgets section of your dashboard
  • Visible to all visitors on your public profile
  • Can be reordered using drag and drop

The limit of 4 widgets keeps your profile focused and prevents clutter.

Saved Widgets

Saved widgets are stored but not displayed. Key points:

  • Unlimited saved widgets
  • Displayed in the gray Saved Widgets section of your dashboard
  • Not visible on your public profile
  • Ready to activate when needed

Use saved widgets to store content you want to use later.

What Happens When You Create a Widget

When you create a new widget:

  1. If you have fewer than 4 active widgets, the new widget becomes active
  2. If you already have 4 active widgets, the new widget is saved automatically

This ensures you never lose content when creating new widgets.

How to Activate a Saved Widget

To move a widget from Saved to Active:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Widgets section
  3. Find the widget in your Saved Widgets area
  4. Click the archive icon (or activation button)
  5. The widget moves to Active Widgets

If you already have 4 active widgets, you must deactivate one first.

How to Save an Active Widget

To move a widget from Active to Saved:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Scroll to the Widgets section
  3. Find the widget in your Active Widgets area
  4. Click the archive icon (or save button)
  5. The widget moves to Saved Widgets

The widget is now hidden from your public profile but remains saved.

Using Drag and Drop

You can also manage widgets by dragging:

To Deactivate a Widget

  1. Click and hold the widget in Active Widgets
  2. Drag it to the Saved Widgets section
  3. Release to drop

To Activate a Widget

  1. Click and hold the widget in Saved Widgets
  2. Drag it to the Active Widgets section (if under 4)
  3. Release to drop

Drag and drop provides a quick way to manage your widgets.

Reordering Active Widgets

The order of active widgets matters. Widgets display in the order you set:

  1. Find the widget you want to move
  2. Use the grip handle to drag
  3. Drop in the new position
  4. The new order saves automatically

Put your most important widgets at the top.
