Deleting Your Account

Account deletion permanently removes your MYZO account and all associated data. This guide explains the deletion process and what to consider before deleting your account.

Before You Delete

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Consider these alternatives first:

Make Your Profile Private

Instead of deleting, you can hide your profile:

  • Go to your dashboard
  • Find the Make profile public toggle
  • Turn it OFF to hide your profile

Your data is preserved but visitors cannot see your profile.

Clear Your Content

You can remove content while keeping your account:

  • Delete individual links
  • Remove widgets
  • Clear your bio

Your account remains active for future use.

Take a Break

You can leave your account inactive:

  • Your profile remains as you left it
  • Return anytime to update it
  • No action required to pause

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, we permanently remove:

This data cannot be recovered after deletion.

What Does Not Get Deleted

Some things remain after account deletion:

  • QR codes others saved: They stop working but the images remain
  • Shared content: Content you shared externally remains where shared
  • Cached versions: Search engines may have cached your profile temporarily

How to Request Account Deletion

To delete your account:

  1. Send an email to support (address in website footer)
  2. Include your username in the email
  3. Include your account email address
  4. State that you want to permanently delete your account
  5. Confirm you understand deletion cannot be undone

We process deletion requests within 7 business days.

Account Recovery

Account deletion is permanent. After deletion:

  • Your account cannot be recovered
  • Your username becomes unavailable
  • You would need to create a new account
  • You would need to choose a different username

Subscription Considerations

If you have an active paid subscription:

Before Deletion

  • Your subscription continues until cancelled
  • You will not receive a refund for unused time
  • Consider cancelling first to use remaining time

During Deletion

  • Active subscriptions are cancelled immediately
  • No refunds are issued
  • Access ends at the time of deletion

To avoid losing paid time:

  1. Cancel your subscription in Settings
  2. Use your remaining subscription period
  3. Request account deletion after subscription ends

Exporting Your Data

Before deleting, save anything you want to keep:

  • Take screenshots of your profile
  • Download your analytics data (if Pro user)
  • Save links and content externally
  • Note any important information

Automated data export may be available. Contact support for assistance.

Alternatives to Full Deletion

If you want to reduce your presence without full deletion:

  • Remove personal information from your bio
  • Delete specific links
  • Remove widgets and stickers
  • Make your profile private
