Editing Account Information

Your account information includes your name, email address, and other details associated with your MYZO account. This guide explains how to view and update this information.

Accessing Account Settings

To access your account settings:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click Settings in the sidebar
  3. The General tab shows your account information

Account Information You Can Edit

Full Name

Your full name is used for:

  • Account identification
  • Email communications
  • Support requests

This is different from your display name on your public profile. You can use different names for each.

Email Address

Your email address is used for:

  • Logging in to your account
  • Password reset requests
  • Account notifications
  • Important updates from MYZO

To change your email address:

  1. Go to Settings and click the General tab
  2. Enter your new email address
  3. Click Save Changes
  4. Verify your new email if required

How to Update Your Information

Follow these steps to update your account details:

  1. Go to Settings in your dashboard
  2. Click the General tab
  3. Edit the fields you want to change
  4. Click Save Changes

Changes save immediately and a confirmation message appears.

Information You Cannot Change

Username

Your username determines your profile URL:

myzo.app/yourusername

Your username cannot be changed after account creation. This ensures:

  • Links you have shared continue to work
  • QR codes remain valid
  • Visitors can always find you

If you need a different URL, you would need to create a new account.

Account Creation Date

The date your account was created is recorded permanently for reference.

Understanding the difference:

Account information is for your account management. Profile information is what visitors see.

Keeping Information Current

Keep your account information updated:

  • Email: Ensure you can receive password reset emails
  • Name: Use your real name for support requests
  • Settings: Review periodically for security

Account Verification

If your email address needs verification:

  1. Check your inbox for a verification email
  2. Click the verification link
  3. Your email is now confirmed

Contact support if you do not receive the verification email.
