MYZO

Where to put your NFC tag (ideas that actually work)

Once your tag is written, the only question is where to put it. You want the tag somewhere you actually carry, where another phone can comfortably touch it. A few options people use, ranked roughly by how natural they feel.

On the back of your phone case

A small round NFC sticker fits in the bottom corner of most cases. Hand someone your phone case-side-up, they tap their phone to it, profile opens. No words needed.

This is the most popular option because the phone is already in your hand at networking moments.

On the back of a physical card

If you still hand out paper cards, peel a thin NFC sticker on the back. The card now does double duty: print info on the front, instant tap on the back. Useful in industries where a physical card is still expected.

On a keychain or zipper pull

NFC keychains are a thing. A small fob hangs off your keys or jacket zipper. Pull it out, tap, done. Works well for casual settings where pulling out a card feels too formal.

On your laptop lid

For recurring co-working or office settings, a sticker on your laptop lid means anyone sitting across from you can grab your card without you doing anything. Especially good for sales or BD roles.

On a wedding/event invite

If you run events, NFC tags inside an invite take guests to the schedule, location, RSVP form, or a custom MYZO profile for the event. One link, no apps.

On a product or piece of work

Artists, makers, and trades people sometimes stick a tag on a finished product or a tool case. Anyone curious about the maker taps it and lands on the maker's MYZO. Subtle and effective.

What to avoid

  • Inside a metal wallet: metal blocks NFC. Either use a non-metal sleeve or place the tag on the outside.
  • Behind multiple layers of plastic: thin layers are fine, thick rubberized cases can weaken the read.
  • Stacked on top of another tag: two NFC tags within reading range will confuse the phone. Keep at least 10 cm between any two tags.

You can write the same URL on as many tags as you want

There is no limit. People often write the same MYZO link onto multiple tags so they can put one in every place they might need it. Tags cost cents and your link is the same.
