MYZO provides an age restriction setting for profiles that contain adult content. When enabled, this feature requires visitors to confirm they are 18 years or older before viewing your profile. What Is the 18+ Content Setting

The 18+ content setting is a protective feature that adds an age verification step before visitors can see your profile. It helps you comply with responsible content sharing practices and protects younger audiences from viewing inappropriate material.

When you enable this setting, your profile becomes gated. Visitors must actively confirm their age before the content becomes visible.

How to Enable the 18+ Setting

Follow these steps to mark your profile as age-restricted:

Go to your Dashboard
Scroll to the About Me section
Find the Mark as 18+ Content toggle
Turn the toggle ON

The setting saves automatically. You do not need to click a separate save button.

What Visitors Experience

When someone visits your age-restricted profile, they go through a verification process:

1	Visitor sees a blurred preview of your profile
2	An age verification modal appears on screen
3	Visitor clicks to confirm they are 18 or older
4	If confirmed, the full profile loads normally
5	If they click Exit, they are redirected away

This process creates a barrier that requires active confirmation from visitors.

How Verification Is Stored

The verification status is stored locally in the visitor's browser:

No repeated prompts: Confirmed visitors will not see the prompt again for your profile
Browser-specific: Clearing browser data resets the verification
Per-profile basis: Each 18+ profile requires separate verification

MYZO does not collect or store visitor age information on its servers.

When You Should Use This Setting

Enable the 18+ setting if your profile contains:

Adult content or imagery
Links to adult websites
Content not suitable for minors
Age-restricted products or services
Mature themes or discussions

If you are unsure whether your content requires age restriction, consider whether it would be appropriate for all audiences.

Limitations of Age Verification

The verification system is a barrier, not a guarantee:

It relies on visitors being honest about their age
It works similarly to age gates on other websites
It does not verify actual age through documentation
Determined users may bypass it by clicking confirm

The purpose is to create a clear notification and barrier, not absolute prevention.

Impact on Your Analytics

The age verification affects your profile analytics:

Unconfirmed visitors: Not counted in profile views
Confirmed visitors: Counted normally
Exit clicks: Not recorded as views

Only visitors who complete the verification and view your actual profile content are included in your analytics data.

Disabling Age Restriction

To remove the age restriction:

Go to your Dashboard
Scroll to the About Me section
Turn the Mark as 18+ Content toggle OFF

The change takes effect immediately for new visitors.
