Social media links connect your MYZO profile to your presence across different platforms. This guide explains how to add, manage, and optimize your social media links.
Understanding Social Links
Social links are direct connections to your profiles on social media platforms. When visitors click a social link, they are taken to your profile on that platform. Each social link displays as a recognizable icon on your MYZO profile.
Supported Platforms
MYZO supports many popular social media platforms:

How to Add a Social Link
Follow these steps to add a social media link:
- Go to your Dashboard
- Navigate to the Profile section
- Click the Social Links tab
- Click the Add Social Link button
- Select the platform from the dropdown menu
- Enter your profile URL or username
- Click Save to add the link
Your social link appears immediately on your profile with the appropriate icon.
URL Format Options
MYZO accepts two URL formats for most platforms:
Full URL Format
Enter the complete URL to your profile:
https://twitter.com/yourname
https://linkedin.com/in/yourname
https://instagram.com/yourname
Username Format
For some platforms, you can enter just your username:
@yourname
yourname
MYZO will automatically convert the username to the full URL.
URL Validation
MYZO validates social links to ensure they work correctly:
- The URL must match the selected platform
- The format must be valid for that platform
- Invalid URLs will show an error message
If you receive a validation error, check that:
- The URL matches the platform you selected
- The URL format is correct
- There are no typos in the username
How Social Links Display
On your public profile, social links appear as:
- Icon grid: Small icons grouped together
- Clickable: Each icon links to your profile on that platform
- Recognizable: Visitors immediately identify each platform
The display depends on your selected template.
Managing Social Links
Editing Social Links
To edit an existing social link:
- Find the social link in your list
- Click the pencil icon
- Update the URL or platform
- Click Save
Deleting Social Links
To remove a social link:
- Find the social link you want to remove
- Click the trash icon
- Confirm the deletion
Reordering Social Links
Arrange your social links in order of importance:
- Find the grip handle on the left side of each link
- Click and drag to reorder
- Release to set the new position
Best Practices for Social Links
Follow these recommendations:
- Add active profiles only: Only link to profiles you actively use
- Keep usernames updated: If you change your username on a platform, update your MYZO link
- Prioritize relevant platforms: Put your most professional or relevant platforms first
- Match your audience: Consider which platforms your visitors use most
- Test all links: Verify that each link takes visitors to the correct profile
Common Issues and Solutions
Link Shows Wrong Platform Icon
Make sure you selected the correct platform from the dropdown. Delete the link and add it again with the correct platform selected.
Link Not Working
Check that:
- The URL is complete and correct
- The profile exists and is public
- You did not change your username on the platform
Platform Not Available
If your platform is not in the list, use a custom link instead. Custom links work for any URL and allow you to set a custom title.
