Setting Up Your Availability

Your availability settings control when visitors can book appointments with you. By configuring your weekly schedule, you ensure that bookings only occur during times when you are genuinely available to meet. This guide walks you through setting up and managing your availability in the MYZO Bookings system.

Accessing Availability Settings

To configure your availability, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. Click on Bookings in the navigation
  3. Select the Settings tab
  4. Locate the Availability section

This section displays your weekly schedule with controls for each day.

Understanding Weekly Schedule Settings

For each day of the week, you can configure three settings:

Days that are disabled do not appear as options in the visitor booking calendar.

Best Practices for Availability

Follow these recommendations for effective scheduling:

Be Realistic

Only mark times when you are genuinely available. Overbooking leads to cancellations that frustrate both you and your visitors.

Account for Preparation Time

Consider how much time you need before and after each appointment:

  • Time to review booking details
  • Time to prepare materials
  • Time for breaks between meetings

Leave Buffer Time

Avoid scheduling back-to-back appointments. Configure buffer time in your booking settings to automatically add gaps between meetings.

Consider Your Time Zone

Your availability displays in your local time zone. Visitors see available slots converted to their local time zone. The system handles this conversion automatically.

Update Regularly

Review and adjust your availability as your schedule changes:

  • Seasonal schedule changes
  • New commitments or projects
  • Changes to your business hours

Handling Specific Dates

The availability settings create a recurring weekly schedule. For specific dates when you cannot meet (holidays, vacations, personal days), you have two options:

  1. Disable the entire day temporarily: Turn off the day in your weekly schedule
  2. Cancel individual bookings: If bookings are already made, cancel them manually

Future updates may include the ability to block specific dates without changing your regular schedule.

How Visitors See Your Availability

When visitors use the booking feature on your profile:

  1. They see a calendar with your available dates highlighted
  2. Disabled days appear grayed out or unavailable
  3. Selecting a date shows available time slots
  4. Time slots account for existing bookings and buffer time

Visitors cannot book times outside your availability windows.
